How donations work, where the money goes, and how to get involved.
92% of every donation funds appointments directly. The remaining 8% covers the operational work of running the organization — payment processing, clinic coordination, and the quarterly reports. We publish a full breakdown every quarter.
Care is delivered by our partner clinics. Someone who needs an appointment they can't afford connects with a partner clinic, which bills the fund at cost. We track appointments at the clinic level, never the person level, to protect privacy.
Yes — monthly giving is the most useful kind, because it lets us promise partner clinics a steady fund to draw from. Choose 'Custom amount' on the donate page and tick monthly, or email donaciones@citapendiente.org to set it up.
Not yet. CitaPendiente is not a registered nonprofit at this time, so donations are not currently tax-deductible. We are working on formal registration and will update this page as soon as it is in place. We still send a receipt to your email for every donation.
If you serve people who postpone care because of cost, apply on our Partners page and we'll review your application. We'll walk you through how billing the fund at cost works.
Yes. We need help with clinic coordination, translation, outreach, and the quarterly reports. There are remote and in-person roles — email admin@citapendiente.org and tell us what you'd like to do.
